Back to Normal....ish

Well......It's been a while since I have posted on here. Life has been busy with raising kids and having another baby.  But with things starting to get back to normal I wanted to try and do better at blogging.   So lets hope I can keep it up.

I'm excited to soon be adding some video post to youtube about fashion tips and bargains so when that is done I will attach links for your convince to go visit.

For my first post back I wanted to do something fun.  One of my good friends got me hooked on this new makeup that hit the market.  I was skeptical about it but figured I would give it a try. It's called Maskcara Beauty and I LOVE I'T!! It has taken some time to figure out what works best for my skin (everyone is different)  I wanted to talk about what has helped me in hopes it will help you.

First thing first. If you are looking for an artist you can head over to Belle Brows & Esthetics on Facebook. She will have more detail about the makeup and can help you find the right color for your skin tone.  I did this and it has made a big different.  And the best thing about this makeup is the price. Tins start at $12 dollars. $12 dollars guys!!! Thats so much cheaper than the foundation I normally get!!! More money in your pocket to do things with your family!

To be honest the first time I tried the Maskcara makeup I wasn't so sure about it. It's a cream based makeup so it's different from a lot of other brands that are on the market. It does take some getting use to and finding what works for you.  I started off using primer since primer has always been a first step in makeup for me....But I later realized that primer is water based and Maskcara makeup is oil based and those two things don't go together.  I ditched the primer and that helped a little. I then talked to my Maskcara makeup artist and was told to try a setting spray. Now to be honest I have never heard of setting spray only until a few months ago.  Maskcara does have a setting spray but I'm cheap and didn't want to spend $29.00. So to Ulta I went.  I gave the NYX setting spray a try and that did help out with greasiness. I was also told to do a finishing powder on my t-zone.  So here is the steps that I do

1. have a clean face with your daily moisturizer. Let your moisturizer set for a few minutes
2. Apply setting spray. I tried the NYX one for only $7.99 and I feel it works great. (You can also try Stay by Maskcara for $29.00 or Urban Decay De-slick oil control spray for $31.00)
3. Apply Maskcara makeup. It helps to have the HAC brush and perfecting sponge. (see website for tutorials or check out youtube)
4. Dust t-zone with finishing powder (I used the matte finishing powder by NYX $9.99)
5. Finish off with spraying setting spray one more time and you're done.

It may seem like a lot but it has cut my makeup time in half in the morning. So now I have more time to spend with my kids. Double bonus!!!

Hope this has helped.
