Dream Job

For the past few weeks I have been contemplating about getting a paying job.  I love being a stay at home mom and I wish I could get paid doing so, but that's not how this country works.  It would be nice being able to have some extra cash to help pay for simple things and also some to put aside for family vacations. I love to travel but it seems like every year it gets harder to do with prices rising.

I was thinking about my dream job and if I could do anything what it would be.  I would love to get paid from various companies by advertising their products and or merchandise.  Whether it be clothes, make up, hair products etc.  I would try them out post on my blog and Instagram account in hopes to get others to try and love the products as well.  But with my age I think it's not possible.  Yes, I'm over thirty (I still have a hard time with being over thirty) and I'm no model.  But I guess that's why it's called a DREAM JOB.  Who knows maybe my blog will help me get to that point. But if not then I'm fine with writing my thoughts and helping others find their dream job.

With it being Friday I figured I'd post a flash back of one of my favorite outfits.  I normally don't dress up cute during the week unless I have a fun party or family gathering. But Sundays are my dress up days.  So here is a fun Sunday outfit.

Shoe Love

I'm a big shoe fan. I love everything about shoes. They come in different shapes, styles, colors, the choices never end. My favorite type of shoes are heels. I love to wear heels. (Glad my hubbie is tall so I can wear heels and not look awkward). But the down fall of heels are kids. I can't run after my kids in heels. So the next best thing are flats. If I'm able to find a good deal on a pair of flats I'm in.

One of my favorite sales is BOGO. Who doesn't love to get two pairs of shoes for the price of one.  People have asked me in the past where I get some of my shoes. When I tell them Payless they seem shocked. Yes I shop at Payless!! They have really cute shoes for a good price. Today I had to go get some shoes for my little boys feet (which seems to have grown over night). I stumbled upon these gems and I'm loving them. 

If you're like me and strapped for spare change here's a tip. Go sell some of your old clothes at a consignment store.  They will sell your clothes and give you money back. Which means you can go get new things with that money. Pretty awesome way to change out clothes you don't wear anymore. I'd say that's a great way to update your wardrobe.

Welcome all to my blog! With this first post I decided to write a little about myself.  My husband and I have been married for 9.5 years. we have two beautiful children. A four year old little girl and a 1.5 year old boy.  My life consists of trying to keep a clean house and chasing after my 1.5 year old because he gets into EVERYTHING and trying to keep my four year old busy.  With being a stay at home mom I wanted to have a place to write my thoughts on the good days and bad days of parenthood. I've noticed there are a lot of blogs where parenthood is sugarcoated.  I don't want to do that. I want to write the truth and talk about the joys of it and the struggles that come along the way.

I love my life as a stay at home mom but felt like something was missing. I've been contemplating about writing a blog and decided why not. So here it is.  I am a few classes short of having my degree in fashion. I was put on bed rest early during my first pregnancy and haven't had a chance to go back. My main focus is getting my husband through school first.  So with my somewhat knowledge of fashion I decided it would be great to share my tips and suggestions on how to dress.  I love clothes and I do love to shop.  But being a mom of two I'm usually the last one to get clothes, and lets face it when you're a stay at home mom with a husband working full time and going to school money is tight.  So I like to window shop a lot online. Oh to dream!!!

I also wanted to write about some of my favorite meals I cook. (I'm not the best cook but figured I'd share my favorite meals) I have extreamly picky eaters at my house so when my kids love something we usually eat it a lot.

I would love for others to comment on things they are struggling with when it comes to parenthood or fashion. It would be awesome if we got some great types from other viewers as well.
